Functional capacity assessments (FCAs)

A functional capacity assessment helps identify the support you may need. We work with NDIS participants to understand daily challenges and goals, whether for a new plan or a plan review.

Understanding your functional capacity for your NDIS plan

A functional capacity assessment looks at how someone manages everyday tasks and activities, like getting dressed, preparing meals, moving around the home, or taking part in the community. It helps build an understanding of what a person can do independently, and where they may need support to take part in daily life.

At Humanity Allied Health, our occupational therapists work with NDIS participants to understand daily challenges and everyday goals. Whether you need an assessment for a new NDIS plan or a plan review, we are here to help guide you through the process.
A FCA can help identify the support someone may need to live well and take part in daily life.

At Humanity Allied Health, our occupational therapists conduct functional capacity assessments for NDIS participants. These assessments can support NDIS plan applications, plan reviews, and requests for additional supports.

We understand that assessments can feel like just another step in a long process. Our team is here to answer your questions and guide you through what to expect, so you feel informed along the way.

Making the FCA process easier

We offer functional capacity assessments in clinic, in your home, or online, depending on what works best for you or the participant you support.

Our occupational therapists complete assessments designed to be practical, thorough and turned around quickly, so you can keep moving on the plan review without losing momentum.
